Come and learn how to take an old book and up-cycle it into a new journal. Teens and Adults. Registration is required, space and supplies are limited.

Learn about plants that are native to Illinois from David Pittman, a volunteer with Friends of Rocky Glen.  Participants will have an opportunity to explore the prairie at North Branch and learn about the plants we have there.

Learn about Illinois wildlife, habitats, and eco-systems through hands-on activities designed by Forest Park Nature Center, including meeting an FPNC animal ambassador. 

Hear from a panel of Peoria County farmers, including Farm Bureau Director Patrick Kirchhofer, about the conservation practices they use on their farms.

Discuss what you learned from reading Stacy McAnulty's books Our Planet! There's No Place Like Earth and Oceans!. Activity sheets related to the books will also be available.

Springdale Cemetery includes 223 acres of steep forested bluffs, tree-lined creeks, and a picturesque park like atmosphere. In the heart of Springdale Cemetery, there is a small remnant of native tallgrass oak savanna.

Using all recycled materials create a piece of art that looks like flowers in vase.  Grades K to 5.
